Whether summer or not, skin tanning is very common to women especially those with whiter skin who wants to achieve that Kim Kardashian tan-like.
However, it’s not that easy. There are a lot of factors you should consider before heading to the beach and start working.
So, here are our 10 reminders before you start tanning.
Before going to the beach, clean your skin gently and thoroughly. Do not wear lotion or perfume as the applied areas will be more prone to sunburns.
Exfoliate your skin gently and only use mild exfoliating creams.
Apply a generous amount of SPF sunscreen cream or lotion everytime you leave the house.
Use lip balm to also protect your lips. Use lip balms with SPF.
Wear your sunglasses while tanning. Protect your eyes!
If you are new, start your tanning session 10 – 15 minutes and gradually increase your time from there.
Drink water as much as you can. This is very important to keep you hydrated inside and outside.
Apply moisturizer after tanning. Aloe Vera based moisturizers are recommended.
You may apply tanning lotions too just to maintain your tanning process. These lotions help in setting your tan better and for a more flawless tan.
Lastly, make sure to have at least two days of rest after each tanning session. This is not to overexpose your skin.
